Beanly Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Minh Truong, the individual developer of Beanly ("I", "me"). By using Beanly you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies to downloads from the App Store, and the Google Play Terms of Service apply to downloads from Google Play; if anything conflicts, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
1. Not medical advice
Beanly is a personal tracking tool. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and not a substitute for your doctor, pharmacist or the medication's instructions.
- Beanly does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
- Beanly never recommends, calculates or changes a dose. Take your medication only as prescribed.
- The medication level chart is an estimate for education only. It uses published half-lives and the doses you log. It is not a blood test and can differ from your real level.
- The protein range is general guidance from published nutrition advice, not a personal diet plan.
- AI estimates (protein from a meal photo, and the weekly note) are approximate and for information only. They can be wrong, are not medical or nutrition advice, and never suggest a dose. Check them before you log them.
- Reminders can fail (for example, if notifications are off, the phone is off or iOS limits them). Do not rely on Beanly as your only reminder.
- Talk to your doctor before making any medical decision. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
2. Your data
Your entries are stored only on your device, except what you choose to send to the optional AI features; see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device, backups and any file you export or share. If you delete the app or lose your phone without a backup, your data may be lost and I cannot recover it.
3. Beanly Premium
Beanly is free to use for core tracking. Beanly Premium unlocks extra features (currently: full medication level history, side-effect patterns, the doctor-visit PDF report and a larger monthly AI allowance). Options:
- Yearly subscription, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Monthly subscription.
- Lifetime, a one-time purchase that does not renew.
The current price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. Your subscription renews at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid yearly subscription. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription. One trial per Apple Account or Google account.
Cancel any time in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or on Android in Google Play > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
Refunds are handled by Apple (https://reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (Google Play refunds) under their policies. I cannot issue refunds directly.
Restore. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app to restore Premium on a new device with the same Apple Account or Google account.
Price changes follow Apple's or Google's rules, including notice and, where required, your consent.
4. Acceptable use
Use Beanly for your own personal, non-commercial tracking. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows.
5. Trademarks
"Beanly" and the Bean mascot belong to me. Medication names shown in the app are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify medications. Beanly is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any drug manufacturer.
6. No warranty
Beanly is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, I make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or accurate, including the medication catalog, estimates and reminders. Always check information against your prescription and the product label.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, missed dose or lost data arising from your use of Beanly. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Beanly in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
8. Changes and ending
I may update Beanly and these terms. If the terms change materially, I will update the effective date and tell you in the app. You can stop using Beanly at any time by deleting it; remember to cancel any subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play settings.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without affecting mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
