Where Shotsy is stronger

Shotsy does the core job with less in the way. It logs shots and daily pills, weight, side effects and simple nutrition numbers, and handles several medications at once, which matters if you take more than one.1 Its website lists an injection site map that suggests the next site, titration planning, brand-name and compounded medicines, and a PDF export to bring to appointments. The app is available in 17 languages.

When we used the Android app on November 4, 2026, logging a shot, weight, protein and side effects all worked without paying. The level chart, Health Connect import and home-screen widgets were shown blurred behind Shotsy+, with a 7-day free trial. Side effects are rated 0 to 10 per symptom, and you can add your own.

On privacy, Shotsy's App Store label lists health, usage and diagnostic data as collected but not linked to you, and nothing used to track you. Its website says iPhone data stays on the device with iCloud sync.1

Where MeAgain is stronger

MeAgain keeps more for free. Its website says the free version has no time limit and includes the shot log, reminders, the medication-level graph, side effects and food logging.2 If the level chart is the feature you care about most, that is a real difference.

It also goes further on food: you can log meals by photo, barcode or search, and track protein, fiber and water. Premium adds progress photos, journey cards, a widget and unlimited chat with Capy, an AI companion that also works over iMessage. Side effects use a 0 to 10 severity scale, and it supports compounded medicines and the oral Wegovy pill.2

Things to check before you choose

  • Privacy. MeAgain's App Store label lists identifiers and usage data as used to track you, and health, contact info, photos, messages and search history as linked to you. If that matters to you, Shotsy's label is narrower.1, 2
  • Price clarity. Both list several price points on the App Store, which usually means prices are being tested. Check the price on the paywall before you start a trial.
  • Language. MeAgain lists English only.
  • Appointments. If you want a report for your prescriber, Shotsy describes one and MeAgain does not.

Neither app, nor any app, changes how the medicine works. What the research supports is the habit: people who regularly track their weight on these medicines tend to lose more, though that link is not proof of cause.
